Karen Sheldon

Managing Director, Karen Sheldon has been catering in the Northern Territory for over 30 years and is well known for her former Restraurants, “The Dolly Pot Inn’s” and her award winning style of cooking.
Karen has also long been committed to raising the standards of the tourism and hospitality industries in the Territory. She has been a member of several industry associations for the purposes of furthering this end:
- Member, Tennant Creek Regional Tourist Association for 15 years, Chairperson for four years, Chairperson of the Industry Training Sub Committee.
- Commissioner, Northern Territory Tourist Commission
- Tennant Creek Representative on the Northern Territory Tourism Training Council
- Member, Tennant Creek Regional Economic Development Committee
Karen has a strong commitment to training, having trained over seventy cooking apprentices in her time. Her recent passion is in training and development specifically for indigenous students. She regularly trains and assesses students in Hospitality operations and all things Cookery.
